    Yes, the basic fingerings for all saxophones is the same. The only differences you will sometimes see are in the altissimo (extreme upper range). In the altissimo range, there are MANY alternate fingerings for notes. Some will tend to work better on alto saxes, some on tenors, baris, etc... but in that range the individual player, individual instrument, mouthpiece, and reed have greater affect than the "variety" of instrument.

  • I seriously wonder, if the fingering for every and i mean every saxophone exactly the same.( I mean soprano alto tenor baritone bass and contrabass)

    This is a true statement. My band director requires ALL of our saxes to use at least Alto, Tenor, and Bari throughout their music careers with the ensemble.
