This poem was published in Gargoyle volume 54 in the Winter of 2009. I believe I wrote it during my final year at the University of Pittsburgh, 2004-2005.

If you would like to see the text of this poem, you can order a copy of Gargoyle here:

http://www.gargoylemagazine.com/gargoyle/Magazine_covers.php

I also have several post cards with the volume 54 cover art. Send me a message with you address if you would like one!

Thank you for listening.

  • Ah, there you are dear Oliver, compressing a novel in a short poem whose lines go past their own margins, and whose evocations include scrapings and intimations, forward movement that seems more horizontal than straight ahead... Mahogany!

  • Jazakallahu khair. I'm very glad you enjoyed this one. :)
