We used to have an awesome defense.....until we took an arrow to the knee. Honestly, Phaneuf needs to stop rushing in so deep. I know he wears the "C", but he's a defenseman first and foremost.

@ztoth Holland has been with the Wings for 25 years, 11 as GM, and well Im pretty sure you know in 02 he signed that legendary team. Hes the reason we have some of the greatest talent in the NHL, Trading isnt always a good thing, and it doesnt prove how great a GM is, I think 11 years of dominance does. I mean honestly Ken Holland has done it all.

Burke is the best GM during the regular season and among the worst in the off season. If Burke could match his aggresiveness on the UFA market with his aggresiveness on the trade market we be that sure thing for the playoffs.
