China(Chinese tradition costume---Hanfu)

Many foreigners thought Qipao is Chinese tradition costume.Because when Europeans invaded China in Qing Dynasy,China was ruled by Manchu,so they thought Manchu culture was Chinese culture,but it was not ture,because Manchu culture was nomadic before they ruled China,as we all know Chinese culture was not nomadic.So how can Manchu culture represent Chinese culture?How can Manchu costume represtent Chinese tradition costume?In fact Qipao is Manchu costume not Chinese costume,Chinese weared Hanfu for more than 5000 years but Qipao just 360 years,Qipao doesn't fit Chinese culture.Ming Dynasty Manchu defeated Han people then they ruled China,they keeping killed Han people for 37 years,and at least they killed 36 million Han people,ordered Han people abandon Hanfu and wear Manchu costume,but many Han people don't want to do it,so they would rather die rather than wear Manchu costume,Han people dared not to wear Hanfu when they alive so when they died they still wear Hanfu to prove that they were men of Ming Dynasty,the men of Huaxia not Qing Dynasty.In fact Qipao is Manchu costume not Chinese costume,

Hanfu was replaced by "qipao" by violence and massacre. That was not the will of Chinese people.

i´m not chinese so i don´t know a lot about china´s history but these hanfu are very beautiful. i don´t like the clothes of the ching dynasty though

Kimono evolved from Hanfu and Korean Hanbok totally copied Hanfu in Chinese Ming Dynasty......LOL。because that time china is a superpower in asian。

Manchurian and Han are completed different, Manchurian is not Chinese! Manchu took over Ming Dynasty by one General who made big mistake, He trusted Manchu would help him to defeated one general who against the king in Beijing.

Why can't chinese people adapt hanful as their traditional clothing since they have been wearing it for 5000 years? Why can't hanfu find a place in modern society like kimonos and hanboks? It is not fair that the western world only thinks that qipao is the traditional wear of chinese people when it is fairly modern and that it is the clothes of the Manchu. I don't think that it is fair that qipao is more well known that hanfu.

Yes they are. But they were not.

At that time Manchurian established their own country with their own culture. Like that you don't say Americans were British if the US conquered Britian after the US's independence.

Manchurian became completely Chinese after the Sino-Japanese War II. Therefore you could see the Chinese revolution was anti-manchurian in 1912 and manchurian were still trying to setup their own nation under Japanese support when their rule in china was overthrown.
