While I admire your desire to make the world a better place I am sad that you are so brain washed by people who never investigate what they have been told. There is no man made global warming. Videos of glaciers falling into the sea are not caused by warming, they are caused by the weight of ice build up pushing them down. The south pole has more ice and snowpack now than since we have been measuring it. Greenland was not named so because it was covered with snow.

@soccerfreke13 very true! it is a very effective technique. a lot of people felt like this type of "tax" would bring a negative perspective to the plastic vs. reusable bag campaign. so we opted for a more positive approach--education. a combination of most methods would be effective, but it depends on the community and goal of the campaign. in china, for example, a plastic bag tax has almost eliminated their use! thank you again for the comment!
