    probably but they also need reliability so and it would be very hard to fly a plane of this size/weight with one engine if one happened to fail in flight over the ocean or something. so if 1 fail when there is 4 they only lose 25% of power if 1 fail and there 2 they would lose half. not sure if this plane would fly on 50% power with the payloads that it can carry.

  • @LoveAviation so wouldnt it be more cost effective and fuel efficient to run 2 GE90's instead of 4 TF39's?
