interesting! could you imagine Bowie doing this song as a cover!? ....maybe not, but he could definitely do some other Eurythmics songs like The Last Time, King and Queen of America, I Need You, and Shame to name a few. Likewise I'd love to have seen Eurythmics do a cover of a Bowie song - imagine Annie singing Fashion! or Sound and Vision, Fame, or Golden Years...now her singing any of those songs would have been magic.

~ Ha ha, this stripped down version is pure perfection. I love, love anything Annie & Eurythmics. That woman's voice & being (not to mention eyes) need to be capsuled for future cloning for I don't see how this world is any better without them. But, I disagree with you in that this version kicks the original out of the water. The arrangement of the original is pure 80's Pop Perfection, a definitive to Eurythmics sound. But why choose? I love em both, though the original a bit more.
