08 Lancer ES Front Strut Bar Installation

Current mods:
-Tsudo N1 Exhaust
-Fujita Short Ram Intake
-RRM Front Strut Bar

Congrats 4 having such a car!, I'd like to ask you a pair of questions: When you have a bar like this installed, how does it feel while driving? Is it really useful? Thanx!

wouldnt a short ram be better off in the front instead of as far back as possible sucking in hot engine air

@bloodseedrums What do you mean? There's no other room for the filter to go. And if they made the tube any longer that would ruin the point of a *short* ram intake.

If you're trying to improve the handling more, try a rear sway bar. Will help so much more than a strut. May want to replace the end links too, or you could brake those. Helps with understeer. Lancer understeers badly, so it will help the back end come around more for ya!!

I'm planning to buy a SRI for my DE 08 and i came along the Fujita as well, problem is, there is no heat shield.

take that stupid pod filter out sucking in and bringing back in the hot air, put a panel filter in the stock airbox so it gets cool air from outside

@coolwave9119 So any problem so far with this mod? Personally I'd go with the one that has a ring around the mount with 3 holes that lets you mount the strut bar onto all 3 bolts on each shock tower. But again with that you'd have had to jack your car up or else LOL :)

Good job on the mod man but I do see a problem with this strut bar, not sure if it's true. As you can see it only attaches to the chassis through 1 bolt on each side without any force distribution so it'd have put a bit of stress on those 2 bolt and the small area there on your car chassis, not the whole actual shock tower area. I know it does attach to the central bolt near the windshield but that doesn't seems to be of any help in terms of sharing the pressure, it's more 4 keeping it there.
