that isnt a caboose but a jordan spreader used for snow removal on stevens pass or stampede pass

This is the first time I've seen anything aside from a steam loco moving along this particular stretch. I'm used to the 4449 and the 700 through here.

Thats not a caboose. IT"S A SNOWPLOW!!! They still had all of the comforts of a caboose though.

I saw BNSF 1007 in my area at White Rock beach, BC

Railroads got rid of them in the mid 1980's and replaced them with freds so they could screw the railroad unions.It was cheaper.
