Lions Football Car Show

A beautiful day and a bunch of hard-working Cannon County Lions Football players and their families was a recipe for success for the 1st Annual Cannon County Lions Football Car Show.

So many cars, so little time. Any of them could be the winner and many of them were. A nice trophy was given to the top 25 with winners in several categories. Even motorcycles were welcomed.

The winner was a beautiful 1955 Chevrolet BelAire. The owner stated that it was built in Knoxville and won the Nationals two times. Bad Apple was her name and a bad mamma she was.

Some of the exhibitors was a husband and wife team from Manchester. Ann Harper exhibited a Caliente Comet and Alvin Harper was the proud owner of a 63 1/2 Ford Galaxy 500. Bob Johnston from Manchetser had a 36 Chevrolet Coupe and frequents the local cruise-in at the Courthouse in Woodbury. Leo Parker exhibited an 84 Corvette Claude Walden had a 46 Dodge which he had restored himself, only the second time in the spotlight.

This was a fundraiser for the football team to purchase equipment, uniforms, helmets, pads, and for field restoration.
