When using headphones plugged into fx send, can you hear sound in your headphones even if channel's main volume (white knob) is at minimum level? This would be very convenient for cuing.

@ridarecords You could use the UCA 202 (as "The audio tech wizard" explained) or you could just simply plug the mixer's out pors into your computer's audio in ports using some dual stereo 1/4 inch to 3.5mm cable or use dual stereo RCA to 3.5mm cable to go into your computer. But i would strongly recomend using an audio interface (like the UCA202) because it sound a lot better. But some computers have really good "Audio in" ports. My computer dose not so i had to get the UCA202. Hope it helps :)

@jht95 (See my last comment replying to you) Go to mackie.com and look under mixers for the 802 VLZ3 mixer. it sounds great and is very durable :)

@jht95 With out ourchasing any other equipment you could not (unless you would want to try to use a XLR to 1/4 in cable and plug it into your "Line-in" (inputs 3-4 and 5-6) ports and try that but i dont think that will work) you can, however, get a Pre-amplifier and plug it into your line-in ports (inputs 3-4 or 5-6) for your 3rd microphone. The behringer MIC200 is a pre-amp you could try.
That is a microphone pre amp. but if you want a board with 3 built-in pres, the Mackie 802 is great.

@kingjamm23 This is not a USB mixer so in order to get the audio into your computer you would need an interface (like the Behringer UCA 202 usb interface) or just plug the mixer into your computer using a 1/4 (quarter) inch to 3.5mm cables into your computer's "Microphone/Line in" port. If you use your "Microphine/Line in" there should not be any required configuration. But if you use a interface there may be some required configuration (Referr to you interfaces user manuel). Hope I could help.

I am trying to record vocals through the mixer to a multi-track computer program. Sounds great, but when I record the vocal to a separate track, the new track contains the original music as well as the vocal. How do I record only the vocal without capturing the audio on the same track?
Set up:
1) line 1 microphone, 2) stero line in 5/6 to to external sound card headphone jack, 3) extenal soound card mic jack to stereo main out, 4) headphones to xenyx headphhone jack

@bjsmooth68 From what i can gather, you have created a loop in your system, maybe try and create a chain rather than a loop. Otherwise im afraid your just going to keep hearing that when recording, inbox me if you need more help :)
