The Highty-Tighties Alumni Band was formed to support the The Regimental Band of Virginia Tech, The Highty-Tighties. The alumni band is living proof that the precision, skills and discipline learned as a Highty-Tighty are never forgotten. The Highty-Tighty Alumni Band practices approximately one hour the evening before the annual homecoming parade at Virginia Tech. Following the parade, the Highty-Tighties and the Highty-Tighty Alumni Band perform the pre-game show at Virginia Tech's Lane Stadium. This is the first year that Bob Stevenson of the class of 1943 has not marched and played his clarinet. Although Bob still plays in two bands and walks three miles a day, he was chosen as one of the Distinguished Highty-Tighty Alumni and rode in a convertible in front of the alumni band. Also in the convertible was the other living Distinguished Highty-Tighty Alumni, Ray Reed, of the class of 1957.
thanks for posting this video - great precision marching - not seen with many bands today - you should be very proud
