DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) - The Arab American National Museum in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn is hosting the premiere of a documentary about the role of Yemenis in the U.S.

The 60-minute film called "Yemeni Voices in America" opens at 6 p.m. Friday at the museum. The documentary is produced by the Dearborn-based media company Yemeni American Net to feature the contributions of immigrants from the Arabian peninsula nation.

The film includes interviews with a Peace Corps volunteer who served in Yemen, a Yemeni-American surgeon and others.

Director Rashid Alnozili says he plans to show the film at libraries, museums and theaters.

Yemenis have been settling in the Detroit area for more than 50 years. The region has one of the nation's largest Arab-American communities.
