Keeping Up Appearances - The Father Christmas Suit - 1991 Christmas Special

Hyacinth has bought Richard a Father Christmas outfit for him to wear when distributing gifts to the old people at the Church Hall. Against his will, Richard puts on the outfit, but after having one too many sherries with Emmett, he is unable to fulfil the deed, hence Elizabeth puts on the outfit and pretends to be Richard. • "Oh that's who comes at Christmas, a Mr. Sudbury. And all these years people have been calling him Father Christmas!"

  • "I sometimes feel like slipping away quietly"

  • I LOVE this show.......

  • "I love them dearly, especially at this time of year...especially when it gets dark early,"

    Filial sentiment at its best!

  • one of the best episodes i have ever seen.I cringed with laughter

  • @USZgxc151orbital Oh not right now, it's summer and I will be visiting Britain in less then a month. So it should be like that.

  • @AllstarCanadian

whateva man. enjoy your snow. more power to you

  • @USZgxc151orbital I know a lot of people prefer the summer over the winter, however aside from you, I don't know anyone who wants a green Christmas... snow is what makes Christmas fun... skating, skiing, sledding, snowboarding... building snow sculptures and igloos and snow castles. What do you have to do there, in the hot sun? I much prefer to have Christmas in Canada.

  • @AllstarCanadian

if England's winters are like what we see here in this show, I wouldn't mind having what they get, even at around Christmas time. It seemed like only a few months ago, i foolishly went out after a blizzard and almost got stuck in a 3 ft. snow drift

  • SO IN EUROPE HE'S FATHER CHRISTMAS NOT SANTA CLAUSE. WOW. OKAY.
