How to retrieve the history of all the songs you played in Serato Scratch
live (2.1) so you can create a tracklist.

Reasons I think you should Tracklist your mixes:
1) I think its disrespectful to the artists who make the songs that we play. If you are the producer and your music is being distributed for free at least you should have the credit.

2) It looks like you are afraid people will steal your songs. Face it--no one is original and a real DJ should be confidant enough to cite their sources and still be ahead of the biters.

3) It promotes a no-share-bear vibe among djs when we will all progress faster if we can have an open dialogue.

4) When I see a tracklist its helpful because I know what I'm in for before I even start the mix.

5) It looks like you are too lazy to do that extra step. I wanna see artwork, ID3 tags and a f!ckin tracklist and then I know you are serious. Serato users have a nice history panel--its not that crucial.

6) Its the professional thing to do. All legit ambassadors of music (radio, TV, large blogs) all do it, and its not a coincidence. Be a pro.

  • In your history palette. First of all you don't have to close and reopen to make your tracks white again. You can just clear history.

After going in the palette you should see a closed arrow that says "past 7 days" expand that and voila.

  • Thanks so much! I really needed this

  • Thank you pretty lady /Dj.....

  • nice

  • Thanks for this... Exported my history and had NO IDEA where Serato saved it on my computer.

  • @kaylo360 Just because you have serato open doesn't mean you can't do other stuff on your computer. The default viewing mode is full screen but you can also "minimize" serato.

  • Good Idea.

  • @shutdownplay The serato box hardware. The software is essentially free--its the box that goes from usb to split RCA that constitutes the $600.00 fee.
