Obito was born 100 years after, Obito got crushed by a stone, his sharingan got taken, and he died.

I know that Rin is dead because Kakashi implied that once by saying that he couldn't protect Rin or Obito, so I figure that she's dead. Yeah, how IS Madara is alive!? He should be fully decomposed by now!!

...that doesn't even make sense. Yes, Obito was crushed by a boulder on his left side and Kakashi lost his eye on his left side, and that's how he got the Sharingan, but what does that have to do with Rin still being alive? If he couldn't protect her, it means that she's most likely dead.
