While at Macworld 2010 I met the guys from Monitors in Motion. I bought two their arms (at a discount (full disclosure) so that I could try them out. Here is a video of the process to install the VESA mounts and arms on my Apple 23" Cinema Display and Samsung 25" display. The process took about 3 hrs in total and I did get some assistance from Adam. Overall the build quality is superb. The only thing that lacked was documentation on how to mount them . I've talk to them about this and they are working on this aspect. Otherwise I'm thrilled to have them.

  • I agree about the color match. I am using the 23" in portrait mode more than I thought I would Mostly with Pages and Twitter.

  • Nice video, Victor.

Looks similar to mty desktop ... using a Samsung 23" HDTV next to 23" Apple Display. The Samsung takes the second DVI output from my PowerMac tower, great extended desktop and preview mode from Final Cut. Since it's a TV, I also have the Time Warner cable plugged into it and can watch television by changing source.

Bu it's a bit tough to get color match between the two monitors.

do you think you'll make much use of the portrait mode for the 23" apple display?

  • Thanks for the video Victor, very nicely put together and the arms themselves looks to be very well engineered.
