the reason africans are not fully against mugabe is the fact that when they look around the continent whats happening in zimbabwe has happened in many african countries but the west did nothing. but the problem is the fact that whites where kicked out and then the west decided to take firm action. this is y africans are stepping back and just watching bcos they know that it could be their turn anytime soon and if it is who wld help u.

Zimbabwe is where it is economically bcos of the sanctions on the country. sanction on 207 elite individuals who control the society, sanctions on 40 compainies major companies in zim thus doing this destroys the economy not mention that the west has called for no buying and selling with zimbabwe which is further destroying the economy this is facts. So even thought mugabe is racist the west is fueling the poverty of the nation.

I think that's because the ideas of Imperialism still are alive in our countries. Our government sees these people as inferior and savage. So, I guess they figure savage times call for savage solutions. Then again, diplomacy is kind of difficult. I read in Darfur that the geography and lack of roads prevents a lot of talks. I just hope that these people actually read their hisotry books and learn from the mistakes of the past to find a new solution. (I could go on here to be honest with you...)

Wow, you seem to have forgotten about NATO bombings of Serbia in the late 1990's. Also, who wanted to start a war with Russia over Georgia. That would be a little risky, don't you think? Also, countries "ruled" by whites seldom engage in such barbarities as we find so common among, e.g., African nations. White countries are overwhelmingly civilized and possess civil rights and are amenable to diplomatic measures.

this misguided patriotism among africans has taken the whole continent decades back. zimbabwe right now is worse than what it was 50yrs ago. Oppression is oppression whether by whites or by blacks. ppl didnt fight a 15yr war to chose the color of their oppressors. they fought the war to be free. u have to ask the question: are they free now?

The Western world is unanimous in calling for military action on non-European countries as a solution to conflicts, yet countries that are ruled by whites are prescribed diplomatic solutions.

Russia recently invaded Georgia and many lives were lost. No western country proposed use of military force against Russians, but instead, the French president shuttled between Paris and Russia in a diplomatic move to resolve the conflict.
