This is my bass cover of the song The Pretender by the Foo Fighters. The bass that I own and use in my bass cover videos is my Dean Edge-09. Fortunately, this bass cover was done with a new set of Curt Mangan Fusion Matched, Nickel Wound bass strings. A very good set of bass strings that provide good sound and last for a while. Enjoy.

This is a link to where I got the bass tab for The Pretender:

  • You should get the Dean Edge-09. My next bass is going to be a Black 5 String Traben Array Bass. This bass is so sick and has a great tone. I think that the three best bassists are Michael "Flea" Balzary, Les Claypool, and Victor Wooten. They are gods.

  • I have a ? is it hard to play bass and is it more fun then guitar cause im thanking about buying a bass guitar?? plz respone

  • I have only been playing bass for a few months now, so I'm far from great at it, but what I can tell you is that bass is very fun and although guitar is harder, bass can be difficult. If I were you I would purchase a nice starter bass kit. I recommend the Dean Edge-09 bass starter kit that includes a four string bass, strap, 10 watt amp, tuner, 6 foot cord, 3 picks, and a gig bag. Overall, it's a really good starter kit which is why I bought it. The kit is about $200. It's well worth the buy.

  • NICE SHORTS!

  • really good ;)

  • Guitar is harder to learn quickly, but much harder to master. Bass can just cover so much because of the different types of styles of plucking, and playing.

  • If you stand up it would help a lot, especially when you go to change frets quickly...

  • naw man, depends wat kind of music, if its hillsong, get a bongo or sum killer bass

  • get a precision or something more traditional.

  • You'd get kicked out.

Try a Hoffner Violin bass or something

  • Awesome!! I'm getting the black 5 string John Moyer standard bass soon ;) Traben rock!

  • what about john entwisle and geddy lee

  • No.
