@daltonpatterson98 You're welcome. To be totally honest with you I'm not sure, I haven't had a 40/60/80gb ps3 for a long time and haven't repaired any for a long time as well. Sorry.

erm what if we get ylod from a flight of stiars oh idk let say my ps3 was thrown 14 steps down( carpet) but i look everything inside and there were no cracks on the board nothing broken unplugged from what i can tell i dont think thermal compound could fix it by any chance =P if you guys can help in what i can do to fix it my self i would

@homie3213 lol, sorry I've never come across that one. Ummm... maybe a hard drive problem? (Just guessing here) I don't know honestly, I'm not all that familiar with different PS3 faults. I've only ever worked on the re-flow/thermal compound combo
