The same thing happened with the seat cushions at a Metallica show at the Long Beach Arena in 1989. The band didn't like it, but there would have been a riot if they stopped playing.

@mrjaevee I totally agree to that. I mean, of course metalheads for the most part could never slam, but the entire floor was the pit! hahahaha

I was there! 08/31/1989! The crowd sucked! Freaking metalheads! The best part of the show was Danzig basically playing a complete Misfits set with his new band. At the time they had very few original songs. We were so stoned that the entire seat cousion thing really freaked us out and then just pissed us off. I mean come on! If this happened today the police would have flooded the arena and broke some heads!

i saw them on this tour in '88 when i was 15. it was pretty much the same dril-the place (an old roller rink!!) got totally destroyed!!
best gig of my life till ministry played dublin in 2003.

Fuckin Slayer!!! That throwin seat shit wouldnt stand this day and age. The show would be stopped, plus why would you throw seats and cause possible injury to one of the greatest bands of all time? But I guess thats just Heavy Metal!!!
