@DIYPV think about this you like to do new project correct? they cost money. So as a savings keep this connected to your grid. this saves you money so you can do more or better projects.

@DIYPV Rather than sell everything off, you should just ditch the GTIs and get some RV/golf cart batteries and some charge controllers (and remember to use matched sets of modules if you get MPPT controllers). With the greens attacking/shutting down grid scale electricity generation sources, a backup electricity supply may come in more than a little handy in the not so distant future.

The count on the DIY solar panels is 10. You have a mix of 36 cell & 40 cell panels.
My questions are,
1) For the 10 panels, what was your cost per watt?
2) What is your average time to produce a panel?
3) What is the output of these 10 panel (in watts)?
& last but not least.....
4) How many E-bay GTIs do you have them tied to?

@vanhook2 I am done with the solar I have 2 more home made panels that have never been out side and enough cells to make 4 more panels. I still have a about 5 treadmill motors on the shelf. I also have 4 extra GTI for backups. I am moving on to different toys. The solar is on a timer so I never touch it. I have 2/0 cable for the run and 2 gauge for all the inverters. I have one more summer then its all going on CraigsList :)
