I am a life long Green Day fan and I have been learning to playguitar for about a month, How long will it take for me to be as good as you?

I can play simple tabs and stuff like that, Im learning Time of your life, but im having trouble with the chord progressions.

Any tips on how to improve my playing? Y'know, things like what are the best songs to play, what are the best ways to practice? etc
