  • Ah, the good old days, when the UVA-Tech rivalry wasn't embarrassingly one-sided.

    Thanks a shitload, Al Groh.

  • Ahmad Hawkins!!! greatest William Monroe DB's coach of ALL TIME

  • Proud to be one of the Hoo fans that stuck around during halftime down 22 and got to get the last laugh! Hoos were honking horns at each other all up I-81 on the ride back to Charlottesville. Wahoowa

  • can we get a full highlights video of this game?

  • Listen to how loud the stadium gets when he scores too, almost like UVA is the home team. This was pre-Vick, so there weren't all these fairweather Va Tech fans that are around now.

  • @adgw1423 oh cool big difference u guys still suck ass

  • @VTBeamerball not anymore, now UVA has saved your asses and gotten you into the ACC. Too bad, VT doesn't fit into the conference, especially with literally every sport besides football being miserable. The ACC is a conference that is focused on being competitive in all sports.: UVA-2011 lacrosse national champs, Baseball ranked #1 in the country, tennis #2...that is the ACC's aim. I love football too - but come on VT, this isn't the Big Least anymore, get a real AD and get competitive

  • @jtizzlei false.

  • @TheSouthern500 Welsh was the man - '89 to '98 where UVA was constant top 25 always good for a 7, 8, 9 or even 10(once) wins season and potentially destined for more with a few bounces in our way. Those big breaks never came, but we did knock off some of the best teams in the country during that period on a regular basis. Unfortunately, Georgia Tech or a dumb loss to someone like NCSU would prevent us from the BCS. Anyways, i long for these days, and hopefully they will arrive sooner than latr

  • Was at this game in '98. Many fellow Hoos left at halftime, but most of us were loyal to our team, stayed loud and proud, and Brooks-Hawkins sent us into mayhem. Those were the days...there is hope yet again for UVA football, but there is a long rebuilding process again. I'm a University of Colorado alum (GO BUFSS!), but UVA will always be my second team. Bet I've witnessed more UVA games home and way then just about anyone :) Go Buffs Go Hoos

  • @adgw1423 no
