@motdef it's worth it as a mage basically the only thing that can hurt you is mages that use lightning bolt or get real close and use sprays, explosive fireballs and sometimes but not often archers because ice will slow warriors to a walk at most and you can dodge magic as well as often arrows.

@Ryo19zintkd Doesn't scale well, really. A dagger wielded by a guy with Smithing will get better and better but there is no anvil to make your Flames spell better, sadly. Hopefully DLC adds spell crafting back into the game. I played a mage up to high level and couldn't find some of the Master level spells, and the ones I did find weren't all that good. Ultimately, you get more overt power out of a mix of Conjuration/BoundBow-Mook and Archery combo, I found, in pure damage output.
