On July 28, 2011, the Flying Ghillies Scottish Country Dancers and the Celtic Academy of Irish Dance combined for a lunch time show at Courthouse Square to promote the upcoming Dayton Celtic Fest, July 29-31. Each group performed some individual numbers as well as a side-by-side "Haste to the Wedding" in their respective traditions. The show finished with this combined version of Festival Salute danced to the tune Nelson Mandela's Welcome to the City of Glasgow.
