It sounds so sad.

Like memories of an old school you went to when it closed in your third grade year, and you're inside it.

Or the ruins of a relationship that has been strained because the girl you loved so much had to move.

Or watching an old movie you had loved for many years, but never got the chance to watch years after you first saw it.

That pretty much suits my childhood in a nutshell. So many things came and went, and one is revisiting those lost memories in the endless annals of time...
