@sabrewolfff Maybe you should stick to Long Term Releases of Ubuntu. I do and it pays dividends. 12.4lts is out in a few months. Put that on your machine with updates enabled and as long as you have drivers (e.g. nvidia graphics if you have a pertaining display adaptor), then more or less the lts versions better over each 2 year period (especially within the first month of release).

I actually loved using Ubuntu, but it kept going buggy on me so I had to go back to windows! But I do plan on going back to Linux.
