  • If you don't mind me asking... and if someone has already asked this, I apologize. But how much does a renovation cost in Japan? Is it hard to find the contractors to do the individual work (i.e. wallpaper, flooring... etc...) or do most companies specialize in multiple types of work? Videos are awesome! A response would be much appreciated! =)

  • @hcsurfer26

Not hard to find quality tradespeople.

They charge less than in many other countries.. I am guessing.

    Cheaper than Australia, anyway.

  • lol theres been like 5 videos that i didnt get notified about, the subscription system thingy really sucks ass.

  • @ShiroKreuz

    Yes, totally sucks,

and Youtube wont be fixing it either ..

so, best to use Twitter or check our channel page to see the daily video.

Sure, all I had to do was click subscribe again, but it was still a terrifying few seconds.

  • the room changed dramatically ! I always enjoy watching video about before renovation and after.

  • Oh wow...did you already sell that poster of the gray car?

  • OMG I guess you don't have those car posters anymore do you?? It's Isuzu cars and I'm a fan of them... I visited a Isuzu car specialist when I went to Japan in August 2011...

I have many Isuzu cars of which I may have to sell in order to move to Japan and do the same as you...

  • What did you do about insulation? I like the look of older japanese homes...I just hate the cold.

  • So, what's the plan with this room? Bedroom? Home office? :) Also, will we get a tour of the finished/renovated house as well ? :)

  • Do you have a video explaining why you came to japan? How you managed to learn the language, and is this what you do for a living over there?

    Sorry to ask so many questions im just curious, and you do have alot of videos ^^;

  • At about 2:09 it showed what looked like glue on the wall, which doesn't seem like it would last very long and a deteriorating wall. How were the pine sheets attached to those sandy walls?

  • I have to say: I thought these videos were gonna be so boring, but I fing this really interesting and I love the simple, clean style ^-^

  • 1:08 It's Mr. Bean!

  • That really looks nice! I used some of that cushion flooring in my kitchen. It looks so much like a stone floor, but so much easier on the feet and back. Also, it cleans really easy. I love it! Did the walls already have insulation? I've heard one of the things common in older Japanese housing is a lack of wall insulation.
