1968 RAM AIR II 400 4 spd. Firebird should be in this list - was the Quickest car @ the 1986-87 Supercar Showdown Events - putting Hemi's - 455 Stage 1's - ZL1 Camaro's etc. on the trailer running consistent mid 12's in the 109 mph range .

@dalotel I own an all num. matching 70SS396/375 L-78 Chevelle. Sold a 69 SS Nova that i owned since I was 17 to buy it in '01. Definately not an everyday driver. A gas guzzler but fun on warm weekends at our Suds Drive in. I cant live w/out a musclecar, and the bowtie thing has just stuck with me. I have uploaded the orig. bill of sale to the car on my channel-its interesting to see what options cost then. Not sure of your age-but u probably remember what they cost if old enough....

@musclecarluvr1 It's all ancient history now. You can't find most of these except in storage or museums. Who wants 8 mpg highway nowadays? I owned a 1st gen Monte Carlo, Camaro, and 3 Nova's and restored a few, they were fun rides. Today it's just fun to watch facts disappear over time. Maybe I'll get a new Camaro SS, cheapest bang for the buck in the 500hp category.

@dalotel I've seen so many of those lists i dont know which one to believe. What about the 427 Yenko Nova's? Correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe they were a little lighter then the Camaro,both sub-frame body's. Then there was the COPO, central office production order cars.. aluminum blocks..super rare. Anyways calling it the "King" i think you've probably figured out im just a lover of Chevelles by now.I know not the fastest, or most worth.The uploader here must have same belief,lol

@musclecarluvr1 Yes, ONE of the many top rated cars, but not THE top rated, or the King of anything. It came in 5th. First was AC Cobra @ 12.2 because it was LIGHTEST, and then 66 Vette 427 because it was next LIGHTEST, then 69 Road Runner because Mopar is faster than any GM made, then of course, the hemi 426 Cuda, a very fast small car launch that beat the LS-6 by a 10th of a second with a smaller engine. Kings are never 5th, except in your world.

@dalotel The 70 LS-6 Chevelle is without a doubt one of the most top rated and well known and desired muscle cars ever produced. Thats why it has earned KING as a title. The LS-6 never had too many problems with its competition. I dont care if the car is heavy or not. The Novas and Camaros are definately much lighter, but remember that can be a disadvantage too, trying to hook up. I know it was under-rated for ins reasons, also.
