  • i know this is really stupid but why do they call that light rail if its actually a trolley?

  • @howardkevinm Only certain cities call it a Trolley , its official name is a Tram in most of the world. But in North America its called Light Rail for Trams grade or traffic separated or Streetcars if they run with traffic.

  • @howardkevinm Because of the train type which is a LRV Which is a Lighter Smoother ride than the Classic Trolleys

  • @theraptorfan100 can't find it , but its location is at Grove and 18th Street. Form what i heard it will be extra parking for Hoboken , a Bus Terminal , and station. Along with New line to Journal Sq / Secaucus JCT.

  • @Nexis4Jersey

Cool. Do you have a link?

I actually just emailed the Newport developers and asked if they are considering opening a pedestrian pathway where 18th Street is eventually supposed to be extended eastward to connect Washington Blvd. with the waterfront path (River Place is supposed to go north eventually).

With the state of the economy and the virtual standstill of major development in JC right now, who knows how many years until those streets are extended?

  • @theraptorfan100 i just read a NJ.com story that said different about 15hrs after that.

  • @Nexis4Jersey

You said on WiredNewYork that there would probably never be one there (around 14th street in Jersey City) because it would have to be elevated and would be expensive.

  • @theraptorfan100 there building one & a New line

  • I wish there was a stop around 1:50 to serve Target, Best Buy, and the other big stores around there. There is no public transit service there save for morning weekday rush hours northbound on Marin Blvd and southbound evening rush hours. Otherwise you have to walk from Hoboken Terminal or from the mall.

  • thankyou
