  • Where did you get that exhaust sytem and what brand is it? I love how the tailpipe is aimed more out the side than aimed back more unlike most systems.

  • It's a custom exhaust and the tip is from summit, 5X18" Exhaust is custom 4 inch turbo back by Diesel Performance Unlimited in Pasco, WA

  • And they tell you plugging the exhaust burns the valves.

  • Haven't had one problem with it since installation and its been on for about 50k miles.

  • Was it hard to install the pacbrake? thinking of installing one on mine.

  • I didn't install it, Diesel Performance Unlimited out of Pasco Washington did it. But as far as I can tell it doesn't take long because they put in my 4 inch exhaust, high flow injectors, and the pac-brake in a little over 3 hours.

  • so those are your only mods? which muffler is it? if you drive conservatively what is the fuel mileage?

  • Pasco!!! that's only an hour away from my house.

  • Depends, the one I had in mine was tunable, boost and fuel. Obviously high-setting = a lot of smoke and low equals a little.

  • lookin for a comp for my new 99. the comp put out alota smoke?

  • naw, it shldnt burn the valves, but i do know that if you run an engine without an exhuast manifold on it then the rapid cooling of the valves can cuase them to crack, becuase the air outside the engine and get to them, whereas with a manifold the pipes aare keeping the air warmer for a longer period of time, cuasing slower cooling, saving the valves.

  • almost 1000 LB TQ?!?!?!?!? holy hell what are your towing-the world?? LOL

awesome truck mann cant wait to get my own ram i dont know whether i should get diesel or HEMI.

  • Kiddopocktoole, they say opening the exhaust burns valves. Just an old wive's tale.
