This is a typical fire puja at Kashi Ashram, saying 108 names of the Mother. Swami Anjani is the pujari. Visit www.kashi.org to see the schedule of pujas for the year.

  • These yajman and yajmani are throwing the matter...THAT IS WRONG !!! They should be ariound the yagna and feeding the yagna, you dont throw food to your family, your feed them gently by plates etc... FOR ME ITS DISTURBING TO SEE THE MATTER BEING THROWN..APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE IF I HAVE OFFENDED, HOWEVER I FEEL EXTREMLY STRONGLY AS A BRITISH BRAHMIN ABOUT THIS MATTER.

  • Namaste Sir or Madam, This puja may not be being done in the traditionally correct manner, but it is how we do pujas at Kashi - with much love and devotion. We consider these the most important ingredients. But thank you for your comments. SDV

  • DONT WASTE UR VALID TIME WITH SUCH FAKE RELIGION

  • SO FUNNY HAHA

  • @krunalmakwana Sorry, but anyone in Dharma has the right to initiate havans with sufficient knowledge. When we note that there's some mistake by new comers, we must be kind and help correct their mistakes instead of showing intolerance.

The Varna system became the bane of our society causing thousands to become abrahamic. You of all should know that true sages and rishis are there in the Himalayas rather than the fakes who claim to be holy and still enjoy materialistic world.

  • @Saffronwing1 I am not saying that women should not be permitted to study the scriptures and gain their knowledge but all i am saying is that ritualistic practices should only be performed by vedic intitated brahmins. Hence you will see in vedic history that women were given the same right in learning the scriptures but the practice of rituals was not.

  • @krunalmakwana It is these kinds of pathetic rules that are causing our religion to go extinct. Unlike certain abrahamic communities, we must accept that there were or have been certain shortcomings in our scriptures and we must change it.

I TOTALLY disagree with the comment against women chanting. The cornerstone of our Dharma is gender equality which should be practised in all religious ceremonies.

  • Every comment and point of view must be considerred and respected! I personally know the guru'founder, pujari, and many of the participants, and know they practice and teach nothing less than devotion, love, truth, honesty, and tolerance. Maybe their form of worship, and "ordination" of gay and female swamis is non-traditional, but their mission and intent are pure!

  • Jai Bajarang Bali..! Upon this auspicious day of Hanuman Jainti I offer my greetings...please consider smaller yagnas for each and every yagman and yagmani, I can see without any question, that there is nothing but immense and utmost devotion present. However I just feel unsettled to see the the ahutis not being fed into the yagna, by the other devotees as I see it being unintentionally thrown on the floor and upon other yajamis

  • Although I agree that love and devotion are needed, there is no room for error when performing Vedic yajna. For love and devotion Veda Vyasaji created puranas and itihaases. use them!

I don't mean this disrespectfully but I think everyone should leave vedic yajna homa to real priests and not anyone who thinks they can recite a few names of God.

    Krunal
