I live in a country that allows both gay marriage and medical suicide and guess what? Society hasn't crumbled. Heterosexual couples still get married and blah blah blah. Instead they've come up with other problems to bitch about. All of this is political bullshit and has no bearing on reality in general. It's political. Those that think that they will achieve a better standing in the polls support the issues that will assure that

not just youtube, the politics aswell, i mean you get politicians saying the problem with the country is that gays are in the military and that theres no prayer in schools and they have a genuine chance of becoming president. i mean that is just.. mind blowing! lol

if anyone here in uk said the problem with britain is gays serving in the army they would hand him his balls in a napkin lol.

concordance's reasons for suicide are the exact reasons i've seriously contemplated it at times in my life.

Dunno about anyone else but when death seems preferable to continuing to live I'm definitely going to end it, regardless of the law or society's opinion. All it takes is a bottle of He, a plastic bag & a rubber band. If I can get hold of some opiates too, all the better.

Concordance got it spot on with Facebook. Or at least for me. Concordance said he would make a video about medication (including anti-depressants) which I'm on. I wonder when or if he will ever put that video out.

Thank you for clarifying your point, which you managed with part 1 of this reply. But, the length and breadth of the response aided in solidifying the position. The original posting of this position wasn't as clear, and I thought you were making contradictory statements. However, since there was an obvious disconnect, I assumed there was simply missing text which would clear up the thought process. Thankfully, I was vindicated in that assumption by your response. I agree with what you have said.

Part 3 So much for being brief :) Instead the political and special interest groups have turned to other issues such as taxation, immigration, employment etc to bitch about, however, I have less of a problem with this as these are issues that do have a basis in reality and real consequences if these issues remain unsolved in a satisfactory manner. I apologise for the lengthy comment and hope that this clarifies my position for you.

Part 2 As the culture I now live in is closely related to those in the US and Canada (as are all western European cultures) and these terrible consequences have NOT occurred, then it follows, at least for me, that the issues are purely political in nature and not moral. As a purely political issue it has no more basis in reality than the religions and politicians that espouse the same consequences that have not occurred where these self same cultural changes have occurred. cont'd

Part 1 I'm not entirely sure of the problem you're having, but I'll give it a shot and try to be brief. It has been my experience that in the US and Canada (my home country) people and politicians on the "nay" side of the issues have been claiming a general break down of societal values if things like gay marriage, assisted suicide, abortion etc are allowed. I now live in a country where these things ARE allowed and no such loss of values has occurred, society has not crumbled.

This thought process seems a bit incomplete and or, incoherent. Could you please clarify what you are saying?
