American storyteller DIANE WOLKSTEIN, performing at the Québec Intercultural Storytelling Festival in Montréal • Clip captured on October 28 2007, at the Jewish Public Library, during "Stories from the Jewish Diaspora", a storytelling event and tribute hosted by Dan Yashinsky. Guest performances by Rosalyn Cohen, Oro Anahory-Librowicz, Dan Yashinsky, and singer Helene Engel .
Diane Wolkstein began her career in Paris in 1965, weaving stories from the Bible to pay for pantomime classes. Wolkstein, now a master storyteller and mythologist, recognizes the influence of her mother's entertaining tales during her childhood... and the riveting and more problematic ones told by her rabbi.
