DC SHOOTINGS!

Ms. Patricia Owens (Ma Pat) and Ms. Victoria Jones (Ms. Vicky) live in the SE, DC neighborhood where a recent drive-by shooting occurred. The shooting left four dead. These women make a tearful plea for city administrators and residents in the city in general not to "write these children off or give up on them". "These children were our friends they said. Ms. Pat shared with us that her son was a victim of violence also. PLEASE GET INVOLVED! Our young people need us. Freedom of speech is a constitutional right and we are doing what we can in our communities to give people a chance to speak out, not to lay blame or judge them. We believe that raising children is the parent's responsibility. However, many children do not have parents or only one parent, it's not the child's fault. No parent wants for their child to be gunned down on the streets. Peace.
