  • man he was so awesome in that tourniment he is such an awesome player it is goin to be awesome to be able to watch him in a nucks uni cant wait

  • Hodgson lifted that Russian's stick (in the tying goal by Eberle) Tavares gets all the credit for taking the puck and passing it to Eberle. I'm still kind of annoyed at the fact that no one recognized what he did on the tying goal and didn't get one of the MVPs. Aside from that, way too go Coho playing about 4-8 mins in his first pro/playoff game yesterday with almost a beautiful goal, an assist and third star.

  • @tiptopluongo how does seniority work in international hockey, because me and my bro were watching the olympics and we saw guys like Getzlaf and a couple others with diffrent numbers. also kovalchuck and malkin......kovalchuck took 71 i think.

  • Beast!

  • Yeah that article by Bob was awesome. Tavares is overrated, he might turn into another Stamkos. Hodgson was everywhere he took faceoffs, killed penalties, played on the top powerplay line and showed leadership on and off the ice. Aside from this, Hodgson got 2009 OHL Coaches Awards for Smartest Player, Hardest Worker,Best Face-offs, Best Penalty Killer (4 awards from OHL coaches). Others to mention: OHL Most Outstanding player and MVP

    OHL Most Sportsmanlike Player

    CHL Player of the Year

  • Even Bob Mackenzie said Hodgson should have been named the MVP. Totally robbed. He showed up in every game, especially the final. He lead Team Canada in points and in ice time among the forwards. Tavares got it based on his hype and that 1 game against the USA. But Hodgson could probably care less about individual awards, he's a team player first and foremost. I don't see any ego there...Vancouver got the steal of the draft!

  • So funny, the Red Line Report (scouting ppl) said, "Tavares may score 40 or 50 goals a season, but he's one-dimensional. If he's not scoring, he's not helping." they ranked him 3 after Hedman and Duchene

  • Everyone said Cody was the next Trevor Linden. Now they're saying he's Ron Francis. I think Canucks fans will take that, but who knows what this guy's potential will be at the start of next season? I sort of see him as a Sidney Crosby-lite. He's a smart player who maybe doesn't have Pavel Bure speed, but he's better defensively than Sid...and he's clearly a more mature guy. If he isn't creating scoring, he won't be hurting his team either.

  • Tavares is overrated. That sucks for you guys (its hard to see ppl gone, like Gilbert Brule and Milan Lucic were key players for the Vancouver Giants, but they have moved onto the NHL)but you can try catching manitoba moose or canucks games online and watch him.

  • well that just shows how much class tavares DOESN'T have.

and i have no doubt hodgson will do well in vancouver too, but it's gonna be hard seeing him leave brampton.
