This model was a recent purchase I made at a local retail store. It was part of a Christmas display with other models and was only $7.00 U.S. Dollars so I did not know what kind of quality it would be. I was very happy with this kit and it was alot of fun to build. Total build time was only a week and I hand painted this model. Thanks to my wife Amelia - MsFinndian4 for making this video.

@selfmadeboys88 the 1:48 revell p51 mustang was actually my first kit, and i theink it is a fine kit for beginners.

Hey all, ive never built a model in my life, but im going to get into them, and i love the p51. I was wondering if this is a good starter kit, or if it was a bit more advanced?

do you paint those 2 body parts separated and after that glue them. Or do you glue them first and then paint? I have a Brewster model.

@Pece17 normally I try and paint the parts before I assemble them when ever possible. If a larger part like a wing or something I may wait till the end to spray it all at the same time so I can get a better match with the paint. Check out my German Tornado I show alot more of me hand painting in that video. Thanks for watching.
