thats no missed approach,my dearly departed dad and i used to do this occaisionaly on return from a 5hr sortie in AAR 5,north east Scotland,Typhoon is marginaly louder,much less smoke,obviously.

An excellent video. The VC-10s have Rolls Royce Conway engines which are a low by-pass ratio turbofan. These are very noisy and produce a fair amount of smoke on full power.

@109Mechanik - nice, love the VC-10! I have been on the Omani Royal VC-10 at Brooklands - would give anything to fly on one, or better still fly one! can you go to Brize Norton and get good views?
