What inspired the band's name, "Almost Amy?"

Apparently Mark and Derek each just said a word that started with A. One of them (I can't remember who, I think Derek) said Almost and then the other (Mark, I think) said Amy.

For me, they will always be Almost Amy and not BHB. Just love the name and I've known there music since Derek was Ren at the west end musical "footloose"

i have only heard of the band over the last month of so since i am in the uk but i have to say i think is much better at this singing and playing than derek i think he would be good at acting

i wish they would've put this song on their cd but i guess it wouldn't have worked cuz of the different style/sound of it. but still great band and very talented mark and derek! very talented!!! wow.

Mark sings really loud. You can hardly hear derek. Not saying its a bad thing, just a random observation.
