  • WTF!

Are things any better now, or what?

What are the human rights organizations doing in Czech Republic???

  • @wishiwasastar Queues are now too. Not like before, but still people are queuing in air overnight. You can enroll over the phone, but the date of receipt appointed in 3-4 weeks.

People who applied for an extension of long-term visa in December 2010 and later do not have a decision on their visas so far. People are forced to repeatedly visit the office of Police (from January 1, 2011 deals with immigration documents MIA) to obtain various information.

  • At the same time tightening the rules of stay which were adopted in 2010 has already thrown by the many foreigners who could not prove that they pay the required amount of taxes to the treasury of the Czech Republic. Necessary - means for any month during the Business Solutions need to indicate the presence of income (in the required amount and pay tax on this income). All foreigners must have a successful business - which is not influenced by external factors.

  • @wishiwasastar One of the objective reasons why the application for long-term visas are not considered at the end of the 9 months is the inability of the Czech authorities to organize the provision of documents with biometric data (the law passed in late 2010). If the Czechs can not do it on time - why does this affect the rights of foreign citizens?

  • I think that the human rights organization engaged in protection of the rights of Roma in the Czech Republic. It is much more politically prominent problem than the foreigners who have to constantly ask for different kinds of permissions.

  • whaaaaat thee fuck is that?! where are they going? Whats the rush?

  • @bmwodessa1

These people, ordinary workers. Police CR creates excitement. They work slowly. Less than 30 percent of visitors come to the reception. No information is available on the required documents. Just to get inside, people are forced to stand in a queue from noon the previous day. Observed every 2 hours. All this time they are outside. Half day and all night until morning. Summer and winter. In the morning when the doors opened everyone wants to get inside as quickly as possible.

  • @Skykos2 - it means non EU countries effective jan 1, 2011.

  • @habiretabure - which now includes the USA effective Jan 1, 2011.

  • Czech people behave all cool and bitching about foreigners comming but not long a go they were treated even worse. Americans complain in Prague but they should see immigration offices in the US!Just depends on your viewpoint :) Every country does this to whomever they can, unfortunately it is human nature! I view for.police as a horrific institution but in my regular life I have many CZ friends who would never act this way :)
