Taylor Gordon Performs a drum solo with NO toms

Hello I'm Taylor. I go to Berklee College of Music. My main goal is to become a music producer, but I still have a great love for drumming. This is just a little solo I'm working on. I've really been trying to better at soloing lately. Always has been a weakness of mine. I tried to centralize this solo around one Idea; its mostly influenced from "Weak" by Gretchen Parlato. There are 2 books 4 way coordination, Joel Rothman's 5 way coordination that can give dynamics to what ever area you feel is weakest...! Nothing wrong with just keeping a pocket, but for solo depends on what type of playing, a simple pocket solo by BB Queen of mothers finest on their live album kept the crowd moving... his placement was amazing and of course Steve Jordan enthralls a crowd, the power of dynamics....and change ups!

@ popshitz182 yes I agree with the other dude. If u dnt quite understand to use a whole drum kit and sound amazing is awesome, which ofcourse includes toms and stuff,that's one thing. but now using a snare, bass, and a high hat and sounding as amazing as using the entire kit, imagine how she wud sound if she was using the entire kit?! Exemplary wud be the word! Thts beyond outstanding! This was amazing taylor
