At last i uploaded the complete Scene . I never understood how people could watch the "Tears in the Rain" scene without the prelude of Deckard not making the JUMP and Roy Batty waiting till he slips down , then lifting him up with one arm . What can i say ... a classic !

  • One of the only scenes that men probably cry to more than women

  • @82hky82 he saved him in order to tell him those words before dying. The outcome of these lines is that humans can create virtual anything they want. But they can create nothing without creating a little "death" along the way. The salvation of humanity is beyond this world. Philip K. Dick is telling us little secrets. And if we notice a little closer we discover great realities that change our world forever. "Its too bad she wont live...but then again who does ...."

  • I cant help but feel a little bit bad for roy in tue end scene.

Even though it's clear that he's a twisted psychotic maniac, seeing the ending where he is finally so powerless is a powerful ending.

    Absolutely brilliant :)

  • Do women like Blade runner?

  • @wrmty56413 I'm gay, but besides that, I often cry in movies. doesn't have to do with that clichée of hard man don't cry and stuff. It's just about that.

  • best scene of any movie EVER

  • Also, what's beautiful to me is he crosses the line from a previsible being, controlled by scientific laws and programs, to a complex being, which is what some call "having a soul" or something. He frees himself from everything, even from his own stuff, and can fly away.

  • @montagminott Yep, don't get me wrong I'm not saying your opinion is wrong by saying I wouldn't care for Deckard. It's just what I'd personally do if I was in Roy's situation. :)

  • @IronRooRoo I mean no offence, and these hypothetical scenarios don't mean a hill of beans. It's just that I've always felt that the of sparing Deckard's life, was the fatal flaw of this otherwise brilliant movie. In that moment Batty went from being a wrathful Man fully deserving of life, to a noble slave deserving of slaughter. The Movie at that point became a morality parable for well behaved slaves.Just my 2 cents.

  • @IronRooRoo Interesting, you'd spend 12 of your last remaining hours , torturing Tyrell(as opposed to a quick but excruciating death). You'd rape the "innocent",yet let a boy who earned his keep, hunting down your fellow replicants live to tell his grand-kids fancy John Wayne stories.Shhhhhit!(phonetically SHEEEE-id ).

  • Thanks for posting this scene from my favorite movie of all time.

  • @montagminott Well yep, after Tyrell gives me that news I'd rape his eye sockets bad. And after torturing him for twelve hours before finally killing him, maybe then I'd go on a rape rampage.

I wouldn't care so much about Deckard, even if he killed my fellow replicants. I'd just spend MY OWN time as best I could. But hey, that's just me. I'm no Roy Batty. :P
