My day at Orchard Beach

a couple days ago my family took a trip to orchard beach, its only a 15 minute drive from our house but this is the first time we visited all summer. Let me tell you, this is an old people beach on weekdays. Everyone I saw there was either and old person that looked like an old leather handbag or their kids below the age of ten. I think there were maybe 3 people near my age in the area, even in the afternoon when more people were showing up.

However, I was able to get some very nice footage of the natural scenery and indigenous life, and I got to use my metal detector which I had for nearly ten years for the first time, so it was a pretty good trip.

This was in 08 in 08 its wasnt that dirty Now its really dirty I found glass, dirty bags, bottles in the water its very dirty its not clear water at all. And people love to pee in it

@jesselovelyred ew, maybe it'll get cleaner later in the season, nobody thinks to clean a beach when they aren't using it so a lot of city trash can get in there in the off season. Also peeing in the bay has kind of the same effect as a single grain of salt in a bathtub...

I've lived in the Bronx my entire life, I also know that its pretty much a marsh with imported sand.

@wakeangel2001 yeah thats why i dont go there i go to CT where itsmore cleaner like you can see in the water like your foot in thewater but for ochard beach always beendirty but whenits not summer its clean

Orchard Beach is not dirty at all. They fixed it up in the 90s and it is better than it has been in a long time. I used to come her as a kid in the 70s and as a teen in the 80s and a adult in the 90s. My Grandfather helped build this beach in the late 20s early 30s and my parents came her in the 50s.  Great Beach.
