Mos Def is incredibly intelligent. One love. It's irrelevant that he didn't know precisely what amendment number is associated with the freedom of speech.

His points are emotional, not rational. Liberal and critical views are expresed all the time in the U.S.
There is a lot of fighting over politics, but neither side is censored. Conservatives consider themselves as being censored, but that is a joke.
Its classic for anyone from any point of view to complain they are censored and oppressed. Both Left and Right do that.
This is all rhetoric on his part.

This is all rhetoric on his part
His remarks were sincere, not rhetorical, in my view as the one who was near him when he spoke. Rhetorical remarks tend to be scripted and contrived, not contemplatively contrived as he spoke in thought mode, not I got to say this this way or that way.

I'm obviously a Ron Paul supporter and I am not a conspiracist or anything. I can speak from rational experience that Ron Paul has gotten 0 coverage. The mass media is not a willing to express views contrary to the status quo because that puts them in jeoprady of losing their mainstream followers. Censorship is inherently bred into our society from a gathering of very strong groups that coelesce around our government. At least keep your eyes open for this to be happening.

I'd be concerned about Ron Paul's past comments on racial issues.
