Inventor Mikal Hart shifts geocaching in reverse. His Reverse Geocaching Puzzle Box is a locked cache trying to finds its location. The box won't unlock until it reaches a pre-programmed location. Subscribe to this YouTube channel to be one of the first to see new videos!

The GPS enabled box presents the users with a deceivingly simple button and a small display. You press the button and the display reads a distance. Players only have 50 chances to move the box to the correct location, before the box locks forever.

  • what the hell???? 15 or 50 atempts ? anyway there will be a lot of boxes sealed forever

  • its easy... you go into a big field with a map and a compass... you press the button at one point in the field... and you write down the distance and encircle the area of the distance then you go on he other end of the field and encircle the the distance from that point... you have 2 points where the place could be so you go closer to one of those points and measure the distance egain revealing where the place is

  • Like Geocaching you will love iTreasure-hunt APP

  • Are you not scared that the box will be stolen?

im sure the first finder in (NL) will keep it :)

  • where can you buy one of those?

  • what the ... the box is sealed forever then how do you get it open *****

  • Smash that bitch open.

  • Does anyone know where I can buy these? Does Mikal do commissions? I want to obtain a custom box for a special gift idea.

  • man you are so cool..

i've just discovered my next arduino project i think. :-)

  • where can you buy one?

  • Display says 4-20-10. We all know whats inside that box!

  • OR.... you can use a hammer. it will always work. ( Proven fact )

  • @Kevin4381 Only people who can apply high school math get to open those boxes.

  • @tomek123kotek Or you could just cut the cheap hinges or the wooden box.

  • ALL YOU NEED IS A HACKSAW

  • You only need to press the button 3 times to figure out exactly where you need to go, then a 4th time to activate the latch when you arrive at the correct location.

  • So you need a map, a pen, a map distance measurer and 3 clicks of the button in random places far apart. Draw out all three distances as a radius from the point where you clicked the button and where they meet is your location. Anyone who doesn't see that will have the box locked forever? Seems quite harsh. Although it doesn't exactly look like a hammer would have much trouble getting into it.

  • heh nice

  • Where can you buy one?

  • @HelloMyNameIsJohnS cool :)

  • @monro2 yes, you need three postitions...just like finding the epicenter of an earthquake

  • @HelloMyNameIsJohnS is it so easy to find the place?

  • @monro2 you only need three tries to find to exact postition it opens at

  • omigosh! at 0:52 the background music is that of the Hetalia Chibi Carnival app! awesome choice! XD but I don't think I'd every get that box open without breaking it... XP

  • soooooo many people would call that in as a bomb, unfortunately..

  • @WeakPuppet lol i would do that too
