An accident Monday afternoon about one mile west of Bloomfield on Highway. J killed two young boys and left another with serious injuries.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's website, the accident at 4:25 p.m. as a 1989 Chevrolet truck driven by 16-year-old Kendall L. Pullum of Bloomfield was traveling eastbound on Highway J and ran off the right side of the road and overcorrected running off of the other side of the road.
The vehicle then struck a tree and overturned ejecting the driver and two passengers, both of whom perished.
Cody D. Boone, age 16 of Dexter was pronounced dead at the scene by county coroner Morgan Sifford and was transferred to Sifford Funeral Home.
Christopher L. Daniels, age 16 of Bloomfield was transported by ambulance to Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter where he died from his injuries at 5:04 p.m..
Pullum was sent by Air-Evac to St. Francis hospital. His condition was unknown as of press time.
The report stated that none of the boys were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
