You are correct...these are indeed WPS-2750's. I maintain these units. They are very reliable. Batteries and the occasional charger repair are the only things changed since 1991. Whelen still offers parts and support for these units.

@sirenfan97 I believe she is saying 12:18 as in the time the siren activated. It is not a date because Pike County, Indiana tests the first Friday of the month which was December 2ND this year (2011).

What was the last word she said over the siren? after both tests.

@southpark326 The humming noise is coming from the nearby construction vehicles. I believe they were pouring concrete nearby.

@ricofojas2011 Yes and no. Whelen has made improvements to the 2700 (and 2800) series and is now called the 2900 series. 2700s are no longer made, but its successor is still made.
