  • goodnight hbo. :)

  • @Meebman1419 Unless their doing their monthly technical performance test.

  • Kinda like Sopranos..

  • It has Peter Finch, who got a posthumous Oscar win, and was the only one actor to get an Oscar after he died...until Heath Ledger's role in "The Dark Knight" got him a posthumous Oscar in 2009. "The Dark Knight" also aired on HBO.

  • I remember living in Texas in 1978 when i was 8 (i was born in 1970). The first cable system i ever heard of was called "Showcase". (Not Showtime, but it was actualy called "Showcase", i remember it didn't even show commercials, you'd hear a radio station play while ads would roll up on the screen, then when it came time for a movie, it would start. anyone remember that?

  • @Dems4Lunch HBO went 24 hours seven days a week in 1982

  • thats right hbo did not go 24 hours until late 1981.

  • The HBO weekend promo is for the weekend of November 11-13, 1977.

  • @Demis4Lunch HBO went 24 hours, in December 1981. They were 24 hours of weekends in September 1981.

  • @bldali HBO probably went 24/7, I would guess in 1984. They ran 24 hours on weekends a for a little while before they went 24 hours.
