You honestly think gold wouldn't rise in price when inflation hits. The cost to run mines would make precious metal production stop. Yes a loaf of bread may cost $1700 after inflation, but an ounce of gold will have to inflate in price also. Silver is a much better investment due to its high industrial demand, Once inflation hits all precious metals will be through the roof. They discontinued the canadian penny, and took away the last of our value in our loonies in toonies this year.
